Children's Yoga and Mindfulness

Children’s Yoga and Mindfulness to support the whole child, nurturing and empowering physical health, mental health and emotional wellbeing, through engaging, age-appropriate and inclusive classes.

Children Practicing Yoga

Imaginatively exploring yoga postures, movement, breath and relaxation, children are invited to learn about their inner strengths and learn tools that can support their wellbeing for life.

Sessions are suitable for school settings and can be adapted to meet the needs of different ages, needs and group dynamics, fostering inclusivity for all pupils.

A Child-Centred, Sensitive Approach

I teach with a child-centred, adaptable and trauma-aware approach, creating sessions where all children are welcome as they are, creating spaces that feel safe, seen and supported.

Why Children’s Yoga Matters

In today’s fast-paced, digital world, children are growing up with increasing pressures from school, technology and social media.

Supporting wellbeing from an early age can help develop regulation, resilience and self awareness.

Children’s yoga and mindfulness creates space for slowing down, tuning in and reconnecting. It nurtures not just strong, healthy bodies, but calmer minds and kinder relationships with themselves, and with others too.

Thank you so much for our Yoga Day during Sports Week. Every year group and the staff loved the games, learning the yoga poses and really enjoyed the relaxation stories.

The children have followed up by doing more yoga in class and using techniques to focus on their calm breathing. In the future, we would love to have you back at The Meadows.

I wanted to pass on how much I think our children have benefitted from having your yoga sessions this year. Not just the yoga but your presence with them is so calming and reassuring. This was noticed on our Raising Attainment visit last term & the School Council also talked about the benefits it brings of ‘being calm, feeling peaceful and resting worries!’. So thank you and we hope to work with you again next year.

Wow!  What a relaxing and energising break from our busy lives.  Carolyn created a calming space for both adults and children to concentrate on their bodies, senses and mind.

All children engaged fully in the sessions as they were fun, age appropriate and accessible to all.  Thank you for a great yoga workshop day

I liked the bit where we did the dancing, I did a funny wiggle dance and laughed

I liked it when we lay down waiting for the butterfly to land, it was
quiet and relaxing
