About the event
Join me and a small group of women, and mothers, to find a sense of village, and leave feeling looked after, more grounded, and like yourself again.
This is a slow, restorative afternoon retreat for mothers, weaving yoga, grounding mindfulness and sauna into an experience of genuine rest and reconnection.
This afternoon is for all mothers, because every journey, age and phase asks a lot, and ask something new. Whether you're in the full intensity of the early days, or navigating the emotional complexity of teenagers, adult children, or any other stripe of mumming, you are welcome here - your big heart needs tending too.
Let's pause the pace, unplug and gather to rest well.
Your Afternoon Retreat
2:30–4:00pm: Yoga & Movement Inclusive yoga that recognises how hard mothers' nervous systems are working - often on high alert, or pouring energy out without the capacity to pour that same care inwards. Movement will gradually unwind you towards stillness, supporting you to ease towards rest for every part of you.
4:00–5:00pm: Sauna & Wild Dip Hot / cold immersion at Fire & Ice Wellness with wood-burning sauna and natural cold plunge pool, set in the peaceful nature garden of Westbury Wildlife Park. Nothing to prove here, whether you dip or simply sauna and cool of resting in a deck chair by the pool, you're free to enjoy your experience your way.
5:00–5:30pm: Tea, Treats & Circle Return to the River Room Studio for tasty vegan treats, warming teas and honest reflections on rest for mothers - why its so hard, why it matters and what's realistic to support you.
5:30–6:30pm: Restorative Yoga & Yoga Nidra A deeply restful close to your afternoon. Practise the art of non-doing through restorative yoga and a guided yoga nidra meditation, and leave feeling more easeful in body and mind.
