Service Description
This NEW additional Mama Yoga group is for 3 weeks. A full course will then begin Tuesday 7th Jan. Gentle and uplifting mind-body care, self connection and community, for all those who identify as a new mother, with your babe by your side. Join this supportive community from around 12 weeks (or as you feel ready) to when your baby starts crawling, and journey through the physical-mental-emotional changes and challenges of matrescence (the evolution of becoming a mother) with a little more ease. Each week there will be a gentle theme to explore and embody, such as feeling stronger with each breath, feeling present through change, connecting to self compassion (and so much more) as we explore: - A supportive (optional) sharing circle to feel seen and normalise - Inclusive yoga, with lots of options for you to move in a way that feels good for you - Calming and mindful breathwork to naturally support pelvic floor health - Feeling present through a time of huge change, through mindfulness - Deep rest meditations and Yoga Nidra Feeding, rocking babe to sleep, strolling around the big space, or laying down to rest is definitely all ok, at any time. This is your space to practice taking what you need. No previous yoga experience is needed. The cafe in the community centre is the perfect space to pause after class to chat and get to know other new mums in your community over a cuppa, if you would like. .................................................................................................................................................. There is one free Community Space available each term. If money is a barrier for you to join this class please just email me. ONCE THE COURSE HAS STARTED, PLEASE EMAIL ME TO FIND OUT IF THERE IS SPACE TO JOIN. Max 10 mamas per class / £13 per class if joining after term has started PRACTICAL BITS You're welcome to arrive 10 minutes early to feed or just settle into the space, class will start 10.30am - but if you're late please join us any time. Bring your own yoga mat, plus a blanket for your baby. Please no musical toys! There is lots of space in the room for prams or car seats. Local parking is free but might take time to find a space so allow time for this, if at all possible
