Hazel Hill Woodr
A weekend of self-reflection and the exploration of energy and abundance, inspired by the fiery power of the Summer Solstice 2022 and held in ancient woodlands. Be guided and supported to cultivate abundance in your life in all of its many forms. Rise up and feel the beat of life.
Through this creative and uplifting 4 day retreat, we bring an intuitive approach to all that we share. Whether guiding you through visualisations, journeys, meditations and mindfulness or inviting you to explore yoga through somatic (felt body) experience, breath work, intuitive movement and conscious restorative rest, you will be supported to notice and reflect on YOUR personal relationship with abundance, inviting it to rise up with greater strength in your life.
You are your own best teacher and we invite you to explore this. We will hold space as you lean a little closer to the wisdom you already hold, your inner knowing and intuition are waiting for you. Unpeeling any layers of self-limiting beliefs that may have held you back, we will use the strength of the woods and the rising Solstice sun to support you to connect to your most joyful, abundant potential!
Connect Yoga Movement Meditation Mindfulness Fire Drumming Creativity
Daily opportunity to explore a wide variety of practices including morning yoga and/ or meditation (before brunch), daytime workshops, and pre-dinner restorative yoga and Yoga Nidra.
After a shared early evening meal, we head into the woods and connect around the fire, the trees, the sunset and the earth; sharing stories, guided meditation, intention setting, music, ceremony, or quiet time.
We will hold a special Shamanic inspired Fire Ceremony honouring the sun and igniting the fire, or personal power, in your belly. The powerful connection to sound through music and drumming will also invite a sense of freedom to body and mind.
Around scheduled practice time together, there will be plenty of time for you to carve as you wish. Rambling in the 70 acres of private protected woodland, reading, napping, or whatever feels good for you. All sessions are optional so you can go with the flow of your own energy.
Your Retreat Home
Hazel Hill is a lovingly managed, off-grid, conservation woodland, 7 miles from Salisbury. Their vision is to be a rich and thriving woodland where people can nourish their connection with the land, themselves and each other, and gain a greater understanding of living sustainably.
The accommodation is spread over two separate buildings. Beautifully crafted large timber buildings offer clean Twin rooms with hand carved wooden bunk beds to share, or opt for a single or double room to enjoy all to yourself. Every room also comes equipped with a wash basin, and comfortable beds (‘great mattresses’ was the feedback from our last retreat here!), plus there are shower rooms in each building. The beautiful high ceiling indoor practice space, outdoor seating and large dining room are all in the Oak House for us to enjoy together.
This is not a high end luxury retreat but does offer clean, considered and environmentally friendly facilities to a great standard. There are indoor and outdoor composting loo’s and private warm water showers. You are encouraged to bring eco-friendly toiletries to help ensure no chemicals are put into the ground.
All meals, snacks and hot drinks are included. Serving plant-based vegetarian meals and snacks, our private chef Cara prepares fresh, seasonal, delicious & nourishing delights throughout the weekend. (Vegan, gluten free and other dietary requests can be catered for if requested at time of booking).
I have never been to a yoga class before, let alone a retreat. I came expecting to enjoy some peace, but I ended up connecting far more emotionally than I thought I would. Sally and Carolyn were the perfect balance of vibrancy and calm. Just what I needed.
What a wonderful experience! My first retreat and definitely not my last. I came on my own but felt welcome from the moment I arrived. Sally and Carolyn are brilliant hosts and excellent guides in their own unique ways. I loved the variety of activities throughout the retreat, from relaxing restorative sessions and power animal meditations to co-creating poetry and meditation around the fire in the woods. The venue was so unique being immersed in the woods. What a refreshing, enlightening and empowering weekend. Thank you.
Glow was the perfect opportunity to retreat from the world, back to myself. I felt safe, looked after, seen and heard all weekend. The Hazel Hill Wood was just perfect and the food delicious. I am already looking forward to the next one.
