'When a child is born, the Mother is also born. She never existed before' (@mumclub). Its a daily ride, one that brings so much joy, but lets be honest, it can also feel all consuming at times. It is so easy to loose connection to a deeper sense of self.
This Self is the one that Yoga talks to, nurtures and explores.
This weekend is for you to give your Self time. To feel into how she's doing. To listen, and take what you need. Slow down, take a breath of fresh air, fill yourself up, and explore ideas of daily accessible short practices that can offer support throughout your caregiving days. Take deeper dives into movement and restorative rest, and return home feeling refreshed and rested with so much more to give - to yourself and others.
"Be kind to yourself. Then let your kindness flood the world."
- Pema Chodron
Gather and create community at Holwell House, a beautiful luxury retreat centre in North Devon.

Friday and Saturday candlelit yoga, just before dinner, will be invite whole body and mind, and every layer in between, to sink into conscious, supported rest. Think blankets, bolsters, eye-bags, soothing playlists and supportive guidance for you to take what you need to reconnect to you.
On Saturday morning I invite you to explore our yoga practice with intuition and ease, softening edges, letting go of expectations of what yoga 'should' look like, and leaning into your intuitive mind-body to guide the way.
During the day on Saturday there is the option to enjoy some hot and cold immersion in the garden sauna and outdoor plunge showers, a fire will be
Saturday and Sunday morning meditation, journaling and Yoga asana (posture) explorations will be gently dynamic and energizing, as we explore intentions of rest and self connection.
Seasonal, delicious plant-based meals and snacks (vegan and all dietary requests catered for with advance booking) will keep us feeling well looked after too. All produce is organic, home grown or locally sourced, so we can rest well knowing we are looking after the planet too.
A few words from our chef Joe...
"All plates are consciously crafted to exhibit a wide variety of colour and flavour, with diverse textures to excite and delight the palate. I love to ferment food to add a probiotic element to the meals on offer, as well as enhancing the umami flavour. Each dish is beautifully presented with vibrant colour, often combining both cooked and raw elements."
The yoga was so empowering and like nothing I have experienced before. I felt entirely comfortable to do whatever my body felt comfortable with and not put pressure on myself to do it in the ‘Instagram’ way!
The reassurance and support from you and everyone else meant that I felt OK about leaving the boys at home with their dad. I didn’t obsess about checking my phone and wasn’t in a rush to get home - all of these things are new to me!
Just another thank you for this weekend. It was truly magical and incredibly, profoundly healing. Do you know the waves of energy/relaxation/prana that wash over you during shavasana? I still feel those today. I continue to unwind and unfold. I was in a huge amount of pain and I just I can’t believe how loose and at ease my body feels now, as does my soul. You are such a gift to mothers - so gentle and warm..
It’s been so wonderful to be reunited with my son full of joy and energy and a new appreciation for him. Plus some amazing new sleep habits. I will definitely be back on future retreats.
