Restorative yoga & care for Mothers of young children who give so much
RESTED MAMA RETREAT
12th - 14th Nov 2021
Being a Mother is truly magic, but can also feel pretty challenging at times too. Time, space and energy to consistently look after our wellbeing is often lacking. But if we can learn to integrate yoga, meditation and healthy habits into our day, we have so much more patience and compassion to give not only to ourselves, but to our kids and family. So this weekend is both for you to be looked after, and for your loved ones too.
Join Carolyn at a beautiful holistic retreat centre in Devon to experience a weekend of nourishing yoga, meditation, care and rest including...
Intuitive yoga and morning movement
Evening deeply restorative practices
Breath awareness practices
Yoga Nidra meditations
Delicious, healthy organic food
Sauna Garden under the stars
Fire pit nights
Saturday and Sunday morning Yoga and meditation will be slow, gently dynamic and energizing, as we explore ideas of rest. What does it mean to feel rested? Life never stops, especially as a Mother of young ones, so let's practice 'resting as we go', in movement, in breath and in stillness, with compassion and care.
Daytime workshops on Sat and Sunday morning will include creative journaling and Yoga Nidra, the latter being an beautiful meditation practice four times as restorative as sleep.
Friday and Saturday evening yoga, just before dinner, will be candlelit, nourishing and restorative, leaning into ourselves, and props, for supported deep rest.
Space To Be
We will be looked after with Autumnal, nourishing vegetarian (vegan and all dietary requests catered for) delights. All produce is organic, home grown or locally sourced so we can rest well knowing we are looking after the planet too.
With plenty of free time to carve as you wish, stroll the 5 acres of land, nap, read, sip tea, chat, and enjoy a wonderful one hour holistic or deep tissue massage with Imogen (if this is within your booking option - see below). The North Devon coast is also a short drive away.
After dinner, the Sauna Garden awaits, complete with a woodfired sauna plus outdoor 'plunge' shower and hot showers to enjoy. Fires, indoor or out, weather allowing, will keep us cosy under the dark starry skies.
What they say...
What a peaceful and uplifting weekend. I loved the pace, the opportunity to enjoy yoga, movement and meditations, and Carolyn's teaching felt so caring and open. I wasn't expecting to laugh so much but the group were all so uplifting! Thank you.
Thank you for the time to reflect during a busy time in my life. Being surrounded by like minded people and experiencing such caring practices felt really supportive and left me feeling inspired and refreshed. I was nervous coming alone however I felt like I was away with a big group of friends. The venue and the food were simply perfect too.
